i wanted to make some cute cards the other day ... and to use some of my new hero arts stamps that lovingly found their way to me. i didn't plan on these all looking so similiar. but once i used the white, swiss-dotted cardstock as my card base on the first one ... i loved it so much, i couldn't stop using it.
these are smaller cards than i usually do ... and i loved the size. two of them are 4x4 ... and the rest are all 3.75x3.75 (because i was using up some scraps of cardstock). i embossed the front of my cards with the cuttlebug ... using the swiss dot folder of course. and yes, i'm aware they make other folders ... i just can't stop using the swiss dot one. lol!
i made all 8 of these cards ... and another 6 cards that are all different. will share those another day.
supplies -
stamps - hero arts
ink - colorbox (colors), and random ink (brown)
ribbon - american crafts
embossing - cuttlebug (swiss dot)
other - string, staples

Those are so simple and cute. Such a good idea, plus its an extra bonus when you can use scraps and small pieces of ribbon that are just laying around.

Absolutely perfect...and who cares if they all look similar...they won't all be going to the same person. Love the swiss dots. If I had a cuttlebug I would be tempted to but that folder!

I just love these cute little cards!!! These are just lovely and I am so glad you shared them. Love the new inks you are using too. Swiss dot is my most used folder too. I hear Cuttle Bug will not have new embossingfolders until next CHA.
Great Job!!!!

Okay, I just love everything you do, but I have to say I LOVE the dotted swiss. Love all your projects that you use it in. I finally broke down and got a cuttlebug and have about 20 embossing folders but the dotted swiss is my favorite. These cards are adorable.

Love these cards. I haven't bought any of the swiss dot paper, but now I will have to. I have the heart stamps already, so all I need are the sentiment stamps and I am on my way. Thanks for the ideas.

These are adorable! I'd love to have a bunch of them on hand for birthdays. My girls have so many friends whose birthdays they acknowledge. Mostly they bake brownies or cookies for them, and these would be the perfect topper!

Oh my goodness...I LOVE these! I was just telling Meagan that I need to hurry and make a little set of cards for Seth to give to his preschool teacher tomorrow for a little love-day gift...and now I'm totally copying this idea. So double thanks! :o)

Wow - 8 cards just like that!
I wish I could whip up cards like that. I'm not a card-maker. I'd like to be, but I find the design process very difficult and I'm an instant gratification kind of person. Having a ton of steps and stamping just bogs me down ... all that time for one card? I'd love to send more notes and give more hand-made gifts. Maybe in a few years when the kids are older and I have my own space :)
Anyway ... very nice! I like the swiss dot very much as well!

I loooove Hero Arts, I won their fresh face contest a few weeks ago and posted a pic of my happy mail I got from them with my new stamps from my winning booty on my blog recently! I also got happy mail today from Two Peas...the Making Memories Flower Patch line....oh it's SO much prettier in your hands...now off to play! Oh I almost forgot, beautiful cards. I wanted to order that apple set too! Next time I win {wink}
