Today is a big day for Kerri Bradford Studio! It's KBS's fourth birthday!!! Kerri mentioned on her blog today that it seems like she just started her store last year, and yet I sort of feel like Kerri's store has been around forever. But sure enough, she started this venture four years ago today, and I'm so glad that she did.
I've been lucky enough to be designing for Kerri for three years now. I had to double check that, to be sure I got it right. It's been three years this month. And I'm so completely grateful that she invited me to be on her team. I had owned my Silhouette for almost eight months, without even taking it out of the box. Kerri was the one that got me to take that lovely machine out and put it to good use, and now it's one of my favorite tools to incorporate into my projects. Kerri has such a huge variety of kits, that make it easy to find just what you need for almost any given project. And I couldn't live without her storyboard templates, as I'm a huge fan of creating photo collages.
What I have loved most about designing for Kerri, is that she really just lets us do our thing. Every now and then, she likes us to focus on something specific. But most of the time, it's really up to us to create whatever we want. Whatever we're inspired to create. I love having that freedom, and I can honestly say that the majority of my "favorite" layouts are ones that were created for her. They are the layouts that have real meaning to me, tell a story, and that are about moments and/or events that I wanted to document. It never feels forced. It makes the process so much more enjoyable when you're doing something that just ends up feeling very natural.
And now, on to the good stuff! Kerri is having an amazing sale this week. This kind of sale only happens once, maybe twice, a year. That's 30% off the ENTIRE store, including classes, on orders over $15. Also, this is the time of year when the class extras are available. So if there are classes that you didn't take, or didn't feel like you needed to take, you can still grab the extras in the store. The sale goes thru Sunday, so make sure and check it out and stock up on all the kits you've been meaning to purchase.
Also, if you head over to Kerri's blog today, she's having a HUGE giveaway. There are five $25 gift certificates to her store up for grabs. Check out the details on her blog to get yourself entered to win.
