Hey all. I'm back to share another week in my 2018 Project Life album, so here's a look at week five. This week had a bit more color going on, but I finally finished it to my liking.
I found that filler card above in a stack of older Studio Calico cards, and it matched one of the photos on the row below it perfectly, so I had to use it. It was throwing off the rest of the spread for me though, until I added a black polka dotted chipboard frame and a pink chipboard flower. That helped tie it in to the other two filler cards on the second page.
Funny story. When Sarah saw the photo above, of the boys and the gate at the bottom of the stairs, she said "that makes you look like a bad daycare person". Lol. I guess because I was letting the older boy climb up so high. Believe me, there's no stopping him half the time. It drives me crazy, since every time I need to go to the bathroom, he climbs up the gate by the bathroom and leans over to wait for me. I'm constantly yelling at him to get down, since I leave the door open a crack to keep my eye on those crazy kids.
And a true story. I'm not sure why it's so hard to get Sarah to take photos. Or maybe she really does take photos, and just tells me that she doesn't. Lol. Who knows. But when she left with her two girlfriends (who she hadn't seen for a while), and told me that she wouldn't take a photo with them, I simply texted one of her friends and requested that they all take a photo for me. I'm sneaky like that ;)
The digital journaling card above is the simpler design that I'm using each week, with the lines on it. The top is empty (actually, it has a phrase on it, but I just delete it since I just want the lines), so I usually search thru my digital stamps or even PNG files from Kerri Bradford's cut files to find a word/phrase to add up there. For this card, I used two digital stamps from Ali Edwards.
I was searching for a pink filler card to add in the pocket above, to tie in with the pink on two of the photos in the spread, and ended up with this one here. It's brighter than I was looking for, but it matched well. And any day with coffee has the potential to be awesome, right ;)
I'll be back tomorrow to share another week in my 2018 album.
