first off ... had to let you know that i actually did some more work on my school albums tonight. i had it all put away too ... thinking i'd get to more of it someday. but i was good and took it back out. i'll share more about my next step tomorrow ... or saturday. have to wait until i can take decent photos. i will add (because i know some of you will ask!), that i'm using the school KOTM that was available in february 2008 ... and sold out pretty fast. so unfortunately, it's not something you can get anymore ... but the ideas can still be adapted. anyways ... here's a peek of it in the works.
and yesterday i was emailing with my good friend, mary ... about how productive we've been this year with our scrapping. we both actually counted how many projects we've done this year ... which is really just a month and a half so far. i was suprised at my numbers. i know i've been doing a ton of projects ... and yet sometimes, i feel like i get nothing done at all. so i have to admit it felt good to see these numbers.
12x12 layouts - 21 total
6x6 layouts - 14 total
cards - 19 total
projects - 12 total
not bad, right? not that i've shared that many with you ... a lot of these were for assignments and stuff. and, i'm totally caught up with my project 365 ... so that counts as extra. although at the same time ... those numbers should scare me. i'm usually not quite that productive ... so i may be coming to the end of my streak. lol! ok, that's it for tonight ... will share more tomorrow on the school stuff.
I had bought these too as quickly as I could because I knew these would fly. Love them but still can't seem to keep up. Hope you post your school layouts from this kit. Can't wait.

Oh boy... Definitely you are a very productive person, and your projects are fabulous!!! I ordered two school kits ( one for each of my girls ) last year during their "second edition". I really love those kits, but I have to recognize that I didn't even touch them!!! I'm sure that tour layouts will be an inspiration for me!!!
Again, thanks so much for all your ideas, information... You are so talented. Keep working!!!

I have had two of these kits sitting in my scrapbook room just waiting to be put together for my two daughters.I'm going to pull them out and get started on them this weekend. I have a 1st and 5th grader so I have a lot of catching up to do with the 5th grader. My stacks of saved school paper work looks like yours. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Go Laura - you have been very productive!
Am looking forward to seeing how this school kit comes together. I bought a premade school years book which has a double page for each year, which also is a pocket for holding photo of the year and school report. I am looking for a way to preserve the artwork and projects.

Wow that is a great deal of layouts, cards and projects. Are you a night owl because how in the world do you accomplish all that? I have a 2 yr old home with me all day so there is not much time for scrapping. I know you have day care kids so you must be in a similar situation.
My pile of school paperwork is starting to get unruly and mine are only in K and 1..cannot imagine what it will be like in 4 more years.

You inspire me. Mine is still in a box. I know that as soon as I begin, I'll need to get caught up quickly.

I just *love* my school KOTM...especially those pocket folders!! It sure helps you keep organized with the kids school stuff!

Good job! How many of those envelopes did you wind up getting to fit in the album? And I cannot remember, are your pages going in their own album, or the one with the pockets? Thanks!

Way to go!!! Sounds like 2009 is your year to get it all done! Hey, you may even get "caught up"...oh, I forgot, as scrappers we aren't suppost to use that word! lol! Have a fantastic weekend!

Wow, look at you go! A few weeks ago I put all of the "kit" contents in binders for my kids...but nothing has been done since. You're my inspiration! BTW, did it take TWO binders just for the kit contents for each kit for you??

WAY to go Laura! I have a huge mess on my desk right now and need to organize, it's sort of overpowering the urge to create because it's in the WAY! Yes, I am one of those that has to put things away before I can create! :) Thanks for you FUN inspiration!! :)

Laura
This kit is rocking!!!! I wish I would have ordered this:( I am REALLY looking forward to see how you use it! From what I can see in the photo it looks like you put project from each year. That alone is worth it's weight in gold.
You are making great strides in progress this year. I think you have done more in one month than I did in six of last year. I am very proud of you!!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I don't think I've done that much in 2 years, let alone 2 months! Geez!
Good for you!!

You are starting to motivate me to want to really work on my school kits. I have all the kids stuff sorted by years which has felt great since I did that last year. My DD is in the 8th grade and my DS in in pre-school (yep big gap and lots of stuff!) Anyway, I have had the kindergarden layout on my table for maybe 6 months but haven't done anything but move it around. Please show me a layout soon to help move me forward! Oh, and where did you get your American Craft D-ring binders?
Thanks
Eileen
