i think i'm back on track with life. back to having some control over what all is going on around here. getting back on a normal schedule. whatever "normal" really means ;)
the girls went back to school today, after a week and a day off for spring break. photo includes alyssa's friend cassidy, who walks with them every day.
between yesterday and today, i've mailed out ten projects. and paperwork for most of them, which takes longer than making the actual project. lol!
speaking of paperwork. i did a ton of it last night, and have everything put away and taken care of. this pile had about 30 papers in it before. now it has just 2 assignment emails. that's it.
my famous pile on the kitchen island is gone. it's usually a big stack of papers, notes, receipts, bills, and random stuff that needs attention. now i have one paint chip, some tacks from something i was going to pin up, a hair clip, lip stuff, and the cell phone.
photos are printed for layouts that i want to do, and product i want to use.
here's a peek at some of that product that i really want to use. i already have 3 pages in mind for this collection :)
Love the little insight into your day:) Can't wait to see the pages you make with that product! :)

Hi Laura, I love these little glimpses into your world. My house will be a wreck this week with the kids home, next week I'll be putting it back in order the way I like it. I think that's the paint card that I have now for my son's room, going to go find it and see. I can't wait to see your pages when they come out and the new ones your thinking of doing. I see ICarly stickers, my kids love that show. How did you get your pictures printed out that way, I like it. Thanks for sharing Laura and have a great night!!

Two quick questions... How do you get such good photos of your layouts? Also, what do you use to print out your photos?
Thanks! Jodeen

to get good pics of my layouts, i look for a spot with good natural light. by a window is good ... you just dont want too much glaring light. i open up the blinds, and use the light, and make sure to turn the flash OFF. no flash. then i just prop my layout up against something, so that its standing straight up. then take the photo looking straight on. i usually take at least 5-6 shots, so that i get a better chance of getting a good one. then i use photoshop to lighten it or adjust colors, as needed, so that its true to how it really looks. i crop it down, so that i get rid of anything else in the background.
for printing, i use an HP photosmart D7360 printer. its awesome, and prints the most perfect colors. exactly what i see on my screen. but i do use costco a lot too.
