the newest issue of scrapbooking tips & tricks has just hit the stores, and it's all about texture.
this issue is full of ideas for adding texture to our layouts. lots of texture basics, faux stitching techniques, using trims and fabric for texture, ways to add texture to your titles, and even adding texture using your photos.
here's a peek at one of my layouts in the issue.
if you are interested in purchasing a copy, you can find it HERE. if you use code TEXTDT, you can get free shipping on orders of $25 or more. this offer expires on march 31, 2011.
i have one copy of this issue to give away to a lucky blog reader. just leave me a comment (one per person), and you will be have a chance at winning. i will leave comments open until friday night, and randomly choose a winner saturday morning.
I just bought a stack of textured cardstock today. Not such what I was going to do with it. Maybe this new issue can help me.

This looks like a fun issue. I especially like the embossing part since my embossing powders and pads just seem to sit.

When I started scrapping 15 years ago it was all about flat & NO bulk. Now it's all about layering & the more the better!
