i was *this* close to not blogging at all today. figured i could at least throw up a layout, and write a few quick words for you.
this layout was one of the MANY, MANY projects that i created for my denver filming adventure, back in march, for creating keepsakes. i was doing a segment on creating pockets on our layouts, using pattern paper.
i had used a scalloped edged template, and traced it onto my pattern papers, which i then cut out. i layered them together, starting at the top, onto a piece of white cardstock. i only put adhesive on the sides and the bottom of the papers, so that the top would remain open. therefore, creating pockets.
then i tucked my photos and some fun decorative tags, randomly, in the pockets. i should have added some journaling, but i was so swamped with the workload for the filming, that i never got to it.
and with that, i've decided to take the rest of this week off from blogging. i hate to do it, honestly. BUT. i'm still recovering from my surgery last week. now that i'm finally up and around a little more, i'm frantically (but slowly, because i'm still not moving frantically. lol!) trying to catch up on what i missed while i was living on the couch for 5 days. i'm back to work today, and hoping the little ones understand why laura can't pick them up at all. the 4.5 yr old won't take issue with that, but the 18 month old might. i'm also blogging like crazy like week, on the bella blvd blog, as we are having a big team-up week feature. and i have a ton of CHA assignments that i need to start, and finish, in the next few days. so i'll meet you all back here next monday. i promise :)
Girl, this is such a cute layout and the scalloped pockets with all the tags is just SO creative! I love tags but get stuck on how to lay them out without looking wierd, lol!
When are those films gonna air?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this layout!! I always love the look of pockets, but have never actually tried them cuz I didn't want items "hidden" I love how you can still see what you put in there! I may very well be scraplifting this one!! So glad you are starting to get back in the swing of things...take it slow and easy though! We will all still be here when you get back! :)

You shouldn't feel bad at all about taking time off from blogging to get yourself back to 100%!! I hope that you feel better soon.
This layout is super cute... I make a lot of hidden pockets on my layouts, but I need to remember that I can show them off, too.

Hi laura: i have no idea how you get so much in a day - running a daycare, raising your kids, creating awesome scrappiness, and keeping up with your blog... among many, many other things I'm sure. don't push yourself too hard as you take a blog break - relax and rest up as much as you can!! :)
