This week and next, over on the Bella Blvd blog, we're revealing our new Summer 2016 collections and products. There are five new Bella collections, three new Illustrated Faith collections, and a new release of Illustrated Faith basics as well. I’ll be sharing peeks at these collections here as well, along with some layouts that I created for the catalog.
Today, we are revealing two new Christmas collections - a Bella collection called Holly Jolly Christmas (which you can find on this morning's post on the Bella blog), and an Illustrated Faith collection called CHRISTmas. I'm pretty sure that Bella has had a new Christmas collection every single year. While they are always fun collections, for me personally, they have never really worked with my own Christmas photos. So when I saw the new Illustrated Faith CHRISTmas collection, I was really excited to see a collection that would work so perfectly with my photos.
I got to work with the IF CHRISTmas collection for one of my catalog layouts, so I pulled out photos of my girls from this last Christmas. I printed them as 3x4" photos, knowing that I wanted to arrange them across the page, along with a 3x4" card from the Daily Details patterned paper.
I love when there are patterns in a collection that make great backgrounds. This heart patterned paper, with randomly colored in hearts, is a great example. With the black hearts on white, it's still a good subtle pattern that allows the other patterned papers and photos to stand out.
I matted my photos with the red dotted patterned paper, and added the "Joy to the World" 3x4" card to a piece of the black and white dotted patterned paper. As I usually do, I distressed the edges of all of my patterned papers, and machine stitched around each one before layering them together.
Just like on my other catalog layouts, I used a mix of alpha stickers from the new Fundamentals sticker sheet and a Ciao Chip Script chipboard word for my title. I did add in a piece of yellow patterned paper from one of the older Illustrated Faith collections, since I needed some yellow paper to tie in with the embellishments from the collection.
To embellish the page, I added some die cuts from the Paper Pieces package, a few tabs from the Tabbies package, and even a few stickers. I finished it off with some black enamel stars.
Head on over to the Bella Blvd blog to check out the new Illustrated Faith CHRISTmas collection in full, and get in on a chance to win-it-before-you-can-buy-it!
