I really hope you all don't mind me sharing these Project Life spreads with you. I worry they'll all start to look the same, and not be all that interesting. Lol. But it's the only creative project I have to share right now, so I'm going to keep sharing ;)
So, here's week twelve in my 2017 album. I knew going into this week, once I had my photos sorted out by week, that I would need more 4x6" pockets for my spread. I didn't have enough photos to justify adding in a 6x12" insert page (something I've done for previous weeks that had more 4x6" pics), so I simply used two of the same style pocket page protectors, allowing me room for three 4x6" photos, along with my weekly title card.
Week twelve happen to be the week of spring break for Sarah. And since a few of my daycare kids were home for the week with mom (teacher, also on break), I was able to sneak in a few unplanned vacation days. Sarah and I went to take campus tours of the two colleges she's deciding between. I wanted to include a 4x6" photo from each college visit, hence the extra need for 4x6" pockets.
To create the journaling card, I used a digital card from Ali Edwards, and just removed the text at the top of the card, so that I was left with the ruled lines to journal on. Then I used a digital brush, also from Ali, to add the "college", and typed "campus tours" to finish it off.
And yes, I'm slightly addicted to that bunny Snapchat filter! I had to include a selfie of myself using it. It's crazy how I feel so much better about myself with a bunny filter, than just a regular photo of myself. Lol.
Love having the calendar cards added into each week. I'm using one from the Project Life app, which I have printed along with my photos each month. I actually send them to my laptop first, so that I can add the little stars to mark the weeks, and then send them back to my phone for adding to my photo order.
Since I've been leaving the album out on my desk for days at a time, I tend to walk into my scrapbook room here and there, randomly adding a little something here or there to the pages. Sometimes, I think the page is done, but then I end up adding something else to it another day. I jump back and forth, so I'm really just working on the entire month's spreads all at once.
I sometimes think I need to add a little something to each photo - as if every photo in the album needs an explanation. But I also realize that that is not the case, and sometimes a photo can just be a photo. Like the one above, which is actually a photo I took of my February Project Life pages, once I had completed those.
Sarah had shared quite a few photos from her day trip to San Francisco (just like when Alyssa goes places, and shares a lot of photos with me), so I just picked out two photos to include here. I love the one of just her, taken at night, with her beautiful smile, and then the one below of her and her best friend, Natalia.
I did feel like I needed an explanation of the photo on the right. We don't get too much crazy weather in this part of California, so when it randomly hailed one afternoon, I had to get a quick photo of it. I simply added some tiny alpha stickers to my photo, which conveniently lined up along the doorway thingie (I'm not going to try and figure out what it's called).
I've got one more week for March to share with you, and I'll share that on Monday. Hope you all have a good rest of the week and a great weekend!

This is a great project, Laura! A good way to document all the good memories you shared with family and friends. The bunny snapchat filter is cute touch. If you want to explore more snapchat filters, you can also check out some at FineFilterz.com.
